As Cartwright Lighting continues to grow as a company, it has made giving back to the community a top priority. Whether it is donating an entire day s sales to a special cause, such as World Renew: World Hunger, or donating money to help the Fire Fighters Burn Unit, Cartwright holds many charities close to its heart and will continue to support them in the future.

In recent tradition Cartwright Lighting has donated an entire day s sales once a month for four months of the year. Typically, two of the chosen charities have a local focus, while the other two focus on aiding the global community. All the charities we choose are very important to us, says owner, Tony VandeKraats.

The success of these Charity Days keeps rising over the years. In fact, in October 2012 Cartwright Lighting had a top sales day of $59,996.46, of which 100% went to the The Mustard Seed Calgary.

Over the years Cartwright Lighting, along with its sister store Park Lighting, has donated 100% of an entire day s sales to such charities as: The Ecuador Medical Mission Trip, The Mustard Seed Edmonton and Calgary, Rehoboth, World Renew: World Hunger, World Renew: Embrace AIDS, and World Renew: Healthy Babies, Healthy Moms.

• Provide food, shelter and support to the homeless in our local communities
• Serve people with disabilities by making room for them and enabling them to flourish
• Provide disaster and crisis response services, both locally and globally
• Work towards ending world hunger and ensuring all people receive basic life necessities
• Commit themselves to ending the cycle of global poverty through education, microfinancing and promoting gender equality
